I've read several books by the fabulous Robin Covington and loved them! I knew when I saw this cover I had to read this story. It's no lie that I love vampires- but Robin makes you love them even more and the sexy vampire, Deacon himself! You will be shocked, floored, saddened, amazed and more while reading this delicious read.I loved that Robin wrote a vampire story. This is not your typical vampire book and that's what makes it awesome. Let's meet the characters shall we?
Cici is a woman who plays matchmaker with her dating agency. She's well known and well liked in getting couples together for love. She needs Deacon's help and hates that she needs to ask, but he's the only person who can help her. Yet, despite it all she asks for his help and agrees to something he asks of her, but will it change them or let them move on afterwards?
Deacon is a well known vampire. He has his staff and also a club he owns with Antonio. He promised Cici's father he would take care of her and protect her. Yet, he's hurt and still does this in an odd manner. When she asks for his help he takes her up on her offer with something he knows she won't be able to refuse; but will it affect him or just be something he can do and let go just like always?
Cici- I loved her! She is sexy, spunky, quick witted ways. She's Deacon's match in every sense of the word. I loved watching them play cat and mouse. I loved watching her goad him and tantalize him in ways. I loved that despite her being a vampire she still wanted love and a partner. She's strong and when things happen I am glad that she has people there to help and protect her; especially Mya and also Deacon.
Deacon is a contradiction. You want to be angry with him in a sense but you love him so much. He's a true man to his word and keeps his promises. He has a hard way of showing emotions, but I loved when Cici was able to get his eyes to glow. I loved how he wanted her and the feelings he had. I loved his protectiveness, the ways he is shown over and over again what his mind told him 200 some years ago. I loved watching him claim his prey so to speak. And what he does at one point was fabulous! I was gripped and touched and you see true love unfold. <3 Will be your new book boyfriend for sure!!!
You will be blown away by the vampires, sexy scenes, past events, revelations, the sexy Cici, the sexy Deacon, their friends and the story line that Robin creates. You will fall in love with everyone in this Paranormal Romance by Robin Covington. She sure knows how to write men that we will love and adore and also want to whoop their butt a time or two as well. ;) haha <3
Anyone who loves Vampire books needs to pick up this fabulous read and be amazed with Deacon and Cici.

Sex and the Single Vamp combines a touch of history with a suspenseful story of death, deceit and revenge. Cici Trent is the target of a madman. They've known each other for 200+ years. Even though there is an intense physical attraction, they continually fight. This time their relationship changes and they become sexually involved. Will they survive this encounter? Can they escape a madman? This story is an exhilarating adventure filled with danger and intrigue. The twist and turns are non-stop. Cici and Deacon are a well matched pair. They won't back down from each other or from the enemy. Their romance is erotic and sensual. They are such a passionate couple. The ending was a total surprise. Robin Covington doesn't disappoint. This story is a thrill a minute.
This is an off-and-on romance that spans 250 years. Cici and Deacon have known and worked with each other for years, but they have secrets that keep them from getting together romantically. When Cici realizes someone is out to get her and is killing her clients, she has to go to Deacon for help. Cici runs a dating agency for paranormal individuals and humans. Deacon runs a protection business among other things. They have always liked each other, but have fought it. The characters are well written and the story has lots of twists and turns.
Robin Covington jumps into the paranormal pool and does it with style with this release. I had the honour of reading this book early and let me tell you, it's fantastic.
I was hooked from the prologue and didn't want to put it down till I was finished. I loved Deacon and CiCi. The sexual tension and spark between these two is strong, I guess since it's being building for 239 years, it's understandable. When they give in, wow, talk about burning up the sheets.
Throw in some intrigue, in the form of evil zealots, who think the world would be better without the "Others", meaning vampires, weres and fey who live openly amongst the humans, a couple of oh crap that didn't just happen moments and you get a book that will suck you in, keep you reading and have you craving more.
Oh and I can't forget to mention the secondary characters who, if you or your publisher are reading this Robin Covington, need their stories to be told !!! We need books for Andy, Mya and Antonio as soon as you can write them.
Robin Covington you have done it again, you have given a fresh voice to the vampire genre and I hope this isn't the last we read from you in this vein

This is generally not the genre I gravitate toward, but because this was Robin Covington and I love all her other books I figured I would give it a try. I am sure glad I did.
The author has generously created this paranormal world with vampires at the helm and with DC as their backdrop.
The main characters of CiCi and Deacon have this "dance" around each other for over 200 years. Deacon loves CiCi, but a conversation overheard causes CiCi to agree to marry someone else.
CiCi comes to Deacon after years of being estranged for help to keep her business and her clients from meeting an untimely demise.
This book has everything romance and suspense. Be prepared to be sucked in from the first page. It was hard for me to put this book down. If you are a fan of paranormal then this one is for you. If not, give it a try you may be "converted." I am now waiting to see who the next book will be about.Please say it's Deacon's associate Andy.
